Peter Kelley is a graduate of Bates College (B.A. 1984) and Suffolk
University Law School (J.D. 1991), where he received distinction as a member of
the Law Journal. Mr. Kelley was admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of
Massachusetts in 1991, the United States District Court for the District of
Massachusetts in 1992, the State of New Hampshire in 2009, and the State of Maine in 2009.
Mr. Kelley has more than fifteen years of successful trial experience in both
state and federal court and offers a broad range of litigation expertise. He has
appeared in all levels of state court and in the trial and appellate levels of
the federal court. With a focus on medical malpractice and general liability
defense, Mr. Kelley has also handled many complex litigation matters in personal
injury, toxic tort, construction, contract, and civil rights law. He has tried
more than 50 civil cases - including numerous medical cases in the areas of

retained to represent medical professionals before the state medical, nursing,
and dental licensing boards.
Mr. Kelley regularly counsels health care professionals and administrators in
health care law and provides risk management advice to health care institutions.
He is a frequent lecturer on health care law for Continuing Medical Education
and Risk Management programs.
