Kurt M. Schmidt, Jr. graduated from Norwich University M.C.V. (B.A., magna cum laude, 1989) and served eleven years as an Armor Officer in the U.S. Army Reserves. Mr. Schmidt graduated from Suffolk University Law School (J.D. 1993).


Listed in Boston Magazine and Massachusetts Super Lawyers as one of Massachusetts’ “Rising Star” Attorneys in 2006 and 2007. Mr. Schmidt was admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in 1993; Connecticut in 1994; Rhode Island in 1998; and the U.S. District Court of Massachusetts in 2001. Since graduating law school, Mr. Schmidt has practiced in the areas of Insurance Defense; Maritime Law; Products Liability; Subrogation Law; and Criminal Defense. Present areas of concentration include: Medical Malpractice Defense; Healthcare Law; Premises and General Liability; Administrative Law and Personal Injury. He is a member of the following professional associations: Massachusetts Bar Association; the Cambridge Bar Association; Connecticut Bar Association; and Rhode Island Bar Association.
